I attended high school in Bellingham, Washington at Sehome High School, where orchestra and drama were my two favorite classes. My mom used to drive me to Seattle every week to be a part of the Cascade Youth Symphony in Seattle, that was when I realized that I wanted to keep playing music for the rest of my life and that I also really wanted to be living in Seattle. After high school, I enrolled at Western Washington University where I studied viola performance and music education.
I did my student teaching at Ingraham High School in 2000 and then was hired as the orchestra director and music teacher in 2001. My love of theater brought me to teaching drama shortly thereafter. I have done coursework at Cornish College of the Arts in Theater, received my Highly Qualified status in Theater Education, and have so far, directed over 30 plays and musicals and Ingraham. I am lucky to teach what I love.
